The Lenten Mass
Lent refers to the period during which the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church celebrates 40 days of prayer and fasting before the great celebration of Easter. This number is very symbolic with the bible verses according to the Gospel of Matthew. Jesus had spent 40 days in wilderness before he started the journey of evangelization.
The Lenten Mass was successfully held with God's blessing and guidance on 2nd March 2018. We were honored to invite Rev Tito Lopez Martin from St Benedict's church as the guest celebrant.
Father Tito used a light bulb to explain the meaning of calling from our Almighty Father. He mentioned the meaning of Lent as well. Teachers and students were involved in meditation and singing hymns. This is a meaningful experience to develop students' spirituality in religious education. The mass ended with the final blessing by the priest. We are pleased to see students with good attitudes and respect during the mass.
