As mentioned earlier in December, our students participated in a programme called SHIELDS, organized by The University of Hong Kong, which aims to promote mental health awareness.
From October to November, participating students attended a series of workshops, where they learned about various aspects of mental wellbeing. To apply and share their knowledge, they later organized a lunchtime activity in March, prior to the Second Uniform Test.
On 25 April, students attended the closing ceremony of the programme. A total of five schools participated, with ten students representing each school. The event featured interactive games and sharing sessions, during which students exchanged ideas and experiences regarding the initiatives carried out in their respective schools. The ceremony concluded with a certificate presentation by the organizers in recognition of the students’ successful completion of the programme.
It is hoped that through this experience, our students have developed a deeper understanding of mental health issues and can help raise awareness within the school community. Indeed, taking care of our wellbeing is of paramount importance.
